Guest Lecture on Interview Skills for Faculty of Arts Students
The Career Guidance Cell and the Department of English Language Teaching (DELT) of the Faculty of Arts jointly organized a guest lecture on “Interview Skills” for Level III students of the Faculty of Arts on Thursday, 14 May 2026, at the Kailasapathy Auditorium, University of Jaffna.
The session was conducted by Dr. M. Pratheesh (PhD, Oxford) of the Department of Pharmacy, University of Jaffna, who served as the resource person for the programme. The lecture focused on developing practical interview skills, professional communication, confidence-building techniques, and strategies for facing competitive job interviews successfully.
Students attended the programme with their respective English lecture groups, accompanied by group lecturers. The event was organized as part of the Faculty’s ongoing efforts to enhance students’ employability skills and career readiness through collaborative academic and professional development initiatives.
The programme was coordinated by the Career Guidance Counsellors of the Faculty of Arts together with the Department of English Language Teaching.
